Batter up! Come out and play or be part of the cheering squad. Baseball gear is not required, but please bring your favourite glove (and extra gear to share) and join the fun.

2:00PM – “We’ve Thrown our Anchor! We are Here to Stay!”
Join Nicole Avery-Bell as she shares how she has “thrown her anchor” with an academic twist. Nicole will present key findings from her thesis, “Reversing the Legacy of Assimilative Policies: A Qualitative Case Study of Language Reclamation Amongst the Acadians of the Torbé Region of Nova Scotia”. We will explore where do we go from here.
Joined by special guest and playwright Micheal Pellerin, they will highlight the power of personal stories, community resilience, and language reclamation in preserving Acadian culture for future generations.
