August 6th
1:00PM – Opening Ceremony & Boat Parade
Join us to open the 20th anniversary of Festival Savalette for refreshments & Acadian cuisine. To enter a boat, please contact Cecil Cashin 902-358-2584 or 902-870-0247.
Place Savalette, Port Felix. Followed by Reception at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall
7:00PM – 45’s Card Game | $7
Join the tradition and play 45’s with your neighbours. Come one, come all! $7 for 25 games!

1:00PM – Youth Scavenger Hunt
Grab the list, read the clues, and find the treasures. A fun way to learn a bit of French and explore our community. A family fun activity for youth and adults alike.

Batter up! Come out and play or be part of the cheering squad. Baseball gear is not required, but please bring your favourite glove (and extra gear to share) and join the fun.

Join us to reminisce about Robert’s year in our region in the 1980s, how it influenced his choice of career, deepen our pride in our beautiful Acadian language and how it has become special among linguistic researchers.

Celebrate Acadian culture with games and music for the younger crowd.

Fire up the grill! We will be serving up hamburgers ($4), hot dogs ($2), Freezies ($1), pop ($1.50), and water ($1).

1:30PM – Tintamarre, Let’s Make Some Noise!
Bring your noise makers – anything works (pots, pans, spoons, whistles). Let the world know we have thrown down our anchor and are here to stay!
Start at Eastside Road entrance & walk our way through the village ending at l’Eglise Saint Pierre, Larry’s River. Bring a chair & join us from your driveway along the route!
3:00PM – Youth B-I-N-G-O (Acadian style)
Grab your bingo dabbers and find two lines, one line, or four corners and win prizes.

4:00PM – l’Ordre du Bon Temps’ Banquet | $20
Join us for a delicious meal prepared by the community for the community. Your choice of pan-fried haddock (ham as alternate meal). Meals are $20 per person.

9:00PM – Dance, featuring the Local Joe’s (19+) | $15
Kick up your heels and socialize with friends and neighbors to the sounds of The Local Joes. A local, five-piece band offering a mix of classic country, bluegrass, and soft rock hits. Entry tickets are $15 / cash bar.

You are invited to join the congregation to close the 20th Anniversary of Festival Savalette.

A full catered brunch by Louie’s Cozy Corner of St. Peter’s. Brunch is $18 per person.

12:00PM – Virtual Duck Race | $5
A festival favourite of one and all. Purchase a duck ($5 each) and give it a winning name. There will be cash prices for the first three ducks to “virtually cross the finish line”.
